Title: Sine Nomine

Author: SilentAuror

Pairing/genre/rating: John/Sherlock,drama/romance, series 4 fix-it, explicit

POVs: Mycroft, John, Sherlock

Length: 45,626 words

Warnings: None in particular, though I will say that this is a dark one at times

Summary: As Mycroft reviews thefootage from Culverton Smith’s morgue, he revisits his original question:whether John Watson would be the making of his brother, or make him worse thanever. He’s come to a conclusion, but decides to give John one last chance. Sohe gives him a choice.

Notes: I wrote this story almostentirely during my three months of working in isolation from home. My work becamethe in-depth research of a failed civil uprising/revolution and a horrificlevel of destruction in that country. The unnamed village of the title (“sine nomine”= Latin for “without name”) is very much based on some of the events of thatuprising, though this is set in a very different country. This story hadalready been plotted out well before I started this research, but some of whatI was thinking and feeling about that situation is definitely reflected here, and I was grateful to have the vehicle of this story to help process some ofthat.

@silentauroriamthereal’s work is beyond superb. I’m can’t wait to read, what I’m sure will be, another incredible piece. Such a fan of this author’s beautiful, thoughtful, and insightful work!

I read it (ages ago lol) and it’s absolutely incredible.

Love you, @annecumberbatch! ❤️😊❤️
