The (continued) rise of epublishing

Yudu Media have released an interesting report on the state of epublishing, which can be seen here. Yudu are themselves digital publishers, so expect some partiality, but the facts and figures tell their own story. The exponential growth of ebooks continues.

In related news, Guardian News & Media – publisher of the Guardian newspaper here in the UK – recently announced that from now on they will be "digital-first in philosophy and practice". The decision is down to perceived trends in media consumption – and seems a clear-sighted move, from where I'm sitting.

On the personal front, editing of my novel Endless is proceeding well, aided by an indecent amount of caffeine and malted milk biscuits. With 160,000 words to wrangle, the process will take a while yet – but the book's already in much better shape. More news soon.
