71. The Train – Diane Hoh
There are some things that have been left to the past that might not necessarily be a bad thing when it comes to school – like a field trip on a train that’s carrying the corpse of a student who was bullied and an outcast from Chicago to San Francisco. If anyone wanted to bring back cross country trips with gobs of teens and little supervision, just read The Train to reinforce the “Noooo!” instinct that should be fermenting. Granted, a lot of how the trip goes is remarkably unrealistic, but who doesn’t want to put on their detective hat and sleuth instead of stop the train for the police to process as a crime scene once the first juvenile turns up mostly dead? Or when some go missing? I mean, it’s not like evidence deteriorates or anything. And Frog (the nickname of the dead teen) must have his revenge! Posthumous vengeance is always a choice, it just seems to work best if your name is Jason Vorhees.

Danger Crumples says, “Why wait? Seize the vengeance.”
