Panzer's trip into the Catosphere today took him to the
GeekWire site. There our adventuresome kitty found a post about Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin. While the post has nothing to do with publishing or ebooks, it's really interesting news about the Amazon founder's plans.
How high is space?
Alan Boyle's post says Jeff Bezos has picked Wally Funk to ride on Blue Origin's Shepard's first occupied suborbital flight. Wally Funk was one of the Mercury 13 women who trained to be astronauts in 1961. At 82 years old Wally Funk will be the oldest person to travel into space. The flight is scheduled for July 20. There are several links to other sites about the Mercury 13, Blue Origin and other information about the flight.
Panzer says, "MeWOW! Weightless!"
This is a long-medium length post. Bring a glass of lemonade and a muffin for today's reading. If you plan to follow all the links in the post, bring your lunch too.
