Tidbits from July 1

Here we are, the first day of July 2021. The Independence Day holiday is just around the corner. And, although our president is calling it the “Independence from Covid” holiday, I prefer to think of it in the old-fashioned way as a celebration of our freedom from tyranny. Covid was not tyranny, it was a natural phenomenon (although maybe helped along with some man-made techniques — I can’t say, I wasn’t there). I’m sure we’ll be reading books about it soon.

I want to thank all of you for sticking with me throughout my return to writing after my three year hiatus. For a time, I considered retiring, but all the love and requests I got from you, my sweet readers, made me realize I can’t give up my passion so easily. I simply had to come back!

As of today, the books which brought me back are doing well. And although these “daddy” books aren’t the “daddy/little girl” books so prevalent on the market right now, they’re about strong men and strong women who aren’t afraid to help each other through some trying times. That’s what families do, and that’s what my heroines and heroes do, falling in love in the process.

Here’s a little praise for the first in the Stagecoach Daddy Series, I Can’t Be Your Daddy.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and the story line was good. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it.

I love that she found it compelling enough to find it hard to put down. I enjoy books like that, too.

This is a wonderful read filled with wonderful characters and a storyline that not only held my attention from start to finish it is also easy to read in just a few hours so fill a rainy afternoon wonderfully.…. This is a simply wonderful read that has been very well written and has a wealth of various attributes that will hold your attention completely.

Sue B. who is an Advance Reader for Blushing Books

I guess she really liked it!

As of July 1, there are 69 reviews on this book, over 85% are four and five stars.

The other two books in the trilogy are available as well. The whole series is described here.

I hope you have the time to read this month, whether my books or others you’ll enjoy. Reading is an important way to experience the world through the eyes of another person who wants to make it personal for you, too.
