What I'm reading
Last week I finished reading REEL by Kennedy Ryan, and I had to share.
This is a fantastic book set in present day that tells the story of Neevah and Canon, an actress and a director who are filming a movie abut the life of an unsung actress from the heyday of old Black Hollywood. The book deals with issues, cultural and personal. All of those things aside, the romance between them is deeply touching and passionate. I highly recommend it.

I am now reading THE GIRL WITH STARS IN HER EYES by Xio Axelrod.
This novel also happens to be about performers. The heroine, Toni, is a guitar player in a rock band. I'm enjoying it because of the different world that Toni finds herself in. It's very good so far.
