Michael Leonard

Painter and illustrator, full name Douglas Michael Leonard, born in Bangalore, India. He was educated at Stonyhurst College, then St Martin’s School of Art, where he studied graphic design, 1954–7. For 15 years Leonard worked as an illustrator. From 1972 he worked mainly as a painter, appearing in many group shows at Fischer Fine Art, which went on to represent him and where he had a series of solo shows.
