News of My Next Release – There’s Double Trouble.

My next release was planned to be Sol 2781, a novel-length, sequel story to Hera 2781.

In fact, that story has turned out to be not one book but two, Hestia 2781 and Sol 2781.

So there will now be a sequence set in the Portal Future eight years before the Earth Girl trilogy. This features Drago Tell Dramis as a newly qualified fighter pilot, with a magnetic attraction to trouble, and a lot to learn about many things – especially his own family.

The full sequence will hopefully look like this:-
HERA 2781 – a novelette length story already available in ebook.

HESTIA 2781 – novel length

Est ebook publication date end June 2021

Please note that I expect to start publishing Hestia 2781 right at the end of June. It may take a bit longer than usual to appear on sales sites due to tangling with their month end processing.

SOL 2781 – novel length

For those who prefer paperbacks:-

I’m hoping to start catching up on paperbacks in the autumn. Hera 2781 isn’t out in paperback yet because it’s too short. The plan is that it will be included in the paperback of Hestia 2781.

William Saeednia-Rankin I loved Hera, I felt like it was the best of what I loved from Golden Age SF, but a lot better written. I was delighted that there would be a follow-up. Looking forward to two novels of follow-up has left me buzzing like I've eaten a bag of coffee beans. The awesome covers have only made things even more exciting. It's great to have something to look forward to these days! Thank you! :-D

Janet Edwards I hope Hestia 2781 lives up to your expectations. :)

I've got to write the book description now. Always a struggle!

William Saeednia-Rankin Dear Ms Edwards,

Thank you for all of your stories, Portal, Hive and Game. I'm glad that you are following the stories as they lead you as I've enjoyed all of them so far. Especially these days we all need good stories. Your stories help the rest of us - so that means when we do our bit in the world, some of what we achieve is thanks to you for keeping us in a good mood, sane and maybe making us think just a little bit more. That's a lot of ripples you send out.

We appreciate your hard work. Thank you.

⋆Emily⋆ Omg I’m so excited! I cannot wait. Any story in the portal future is an immediate favorite of mine. I love seeing how all the characters get there. Hopefully we get to see more Jarra soon! I’ve got the chapter of Fian’s “I’ll be here waiting” stuck in my mind.

Janet Edwards William, I'm delighted that my stories have been helping you through the age of Covid. :)

Emily, you'll find references to Jarra in both Hestia 2781 and Sol 2781. I'll be focusing on Adversary after that, before returning to the Portal Future.
