The First Lighthouse in the United States
Any idea where the first lighthouse was built in the United States? And when? I’ll give you a hint…it was near Boston. (Check out the video to see if you’re right.)For centuries, lighthouses have been warning sailors away from danger–rocky cliffs, sandy shoals, entrances to harbors–and have provided beacons of light to mariners during storms.Here’s a thought to ponder: “Don’t forget that maybe you are the lighthouse in someone’s storm.”
