June 17, 2021: I’m investing in the Pitch-Script 300 Bot!

Fun science experiment: Could a world-class AI write a #Stargate script interesting enough for the show's stars to perform at a reunion? Could I be putting myself out of work?

Hmmmm.  If this A.I. can write scripts AND pitch, then I’m making the investment.

Today’s Yes/No…

This one earns a resounding MEH.

Pitched Project DW today, that Epic (note the capital E) space opera.  Temporal anomalies, slingshot maneuvers, compromised shields, tethered missiles, spider silk-laced ultra graphene spikes and all.  This one is definitely wild.

Generating a short list of K-pop bands we’re going to go out to for Project F.  I, of course, have opinions.

Was struck by inspiration at 2:00 a.m. the night before last and dashed off a revised take of that classic sci-fi series.  Talked things through with my partner in interstellar crime on this one, author Paul Cornell, and the creative ball is now in his court.  We’ll toss it back and forth, then aim to pitch within the next couple of weeks.  Decades later, this show still gets so much love from science fiction aficionados.

Meanwhile, hearing rumors of that presumably deceased project may be resurrected.  I’ll believe it when I see it and, while I do hope it’s true for all involved, this one is no longer my jam and I’ll be cheering them on from the sidelines.

Hey, have you ever been in on one of those meetings where the person you’re speaking to makes several points and you politely ask them to clarify because they’re not really making sense.  Then, they do attempt to do so but really fail to shed much light on things, so you go through their concerns, point by point, seeking clarification – and they just repeat themselves.  And you grow weary and leave the meeting, assuming it’s just you and everything will become clear when you sit down to address the issues – only to ultimately realize it wasn’t just you?  Yeah, that’s where I’m at.

I’ve seen this movie…

Thousands upon thousands of spiders swarmed Australia’s Victoria state this week. The arachnids appeared after heavy rains hit the area, causing them to move from the saturated ground.
