Rectify your habits and SMASH 2021 Goals!

Habits can make or break our goals. 

Have you been hammering yourself lately wondering why you are unable to meet your 2021 goals? Have you been amazed at being clueless on how, after trying everything in your power, you give up on a new goal?

You are not alone. In fact, the majority of us fail to understand why we have been failing at our goals? In other words, why our goals have been failing us?


In THIS post, i have talked on how i read three books in one day. It's no easy feat. Multiple book reading, i mean, which i started as a new habit of 2021. 
Initially it was fun. Even exhilarating until i felt the drop in the enthusiasm. i am a book lover but when my mind began wandering elsewhere, even felt exhausted, merely at the thought of book-reading, it got me curious. 

Those three books certainly couldn't be the reason. Then?
If you too have been clueless at why your mind is now running away from something you actually love to do/pursue, here might be the answer - 
It's because you are giving it too much of it.

Take my case for example. Multiple book reading was the new habit i wanted to cultivate. Naturally, i had no idea of the consequences. Everything went fine initially. i was excited! But then my mind began getting overwhelmed with it. Since i have other daily commitments, multiple book reading proved to be too much for my mind!


Also, if you are constantly occupied with other tasks, it is best to give mind mind some space and breathing time. Multiple book reading puts it in a fast forward gear which can do more harm than good.
Do not stop your goal. Instead, rectify your habits. See what's working and what's not!
For some, multiple book reading is easy. For some, it might be overwhelming. i am the latter case. And i am truly happy to continue reading wit just one book! 
Hence, a couple of days back, i STOPPED with multiple book reading. First day, i finished one of the three books. Today, i finished the second of three. Now, tomorrow i will listen (it's an audio book!) to the final of the three books. Finishing the remaining of the two books in two days is freeing. My mind is relaxed. In fact, pumped with the victories! 
It is great to make a list of goals every year. Keep a track of them with these insights:What's working and what's not? How can you make it better?What are you learning from the process?Is it something doable?If given a chance, will you recommend it to your friend?Hope this small questionnaire helps identify/smash your 2021 goals.
