Let's see......

The newest Pyte book is almost done :)

It is not the book that belongs to the excerpt in the back of Without Regret, but the next book in the continuing story.

The next Neighbor From Hell book is halfway done and is currently being checked over to make sure that it’s worthy of the NFH title. Once i get feedback I will set back to work on it :)

After reading most of the reviews for my books I thought I should say a few things:

A Humble Heart is in no way meant to be funny so if you’re looking for a fun relaxing book, this isn’t it. This is meant to be a little bit dramatic, a little thrilling and basically a fairy tale for adults, especially women like Dana who may not have chosen well in life and deserve a second chance with the man of her dreams. I wrote this story when I was going through a pretty bad time. I guess you could say it was an unrealistic dream, but something that kept me going. It might not be the “favorite” book out there, but it has a special spot in my heart because of what it did for me. For those of you who are wondering if Edward will find out that he was the influence for Christian……..yes.

The Pyte, Sentinel and Immortal series are not the NFH series. What I mean is that they are not written to be light, funny reads. They have funny parts, but nothing like the NFH series so if you’re looking for an amusing light read these probably aren’t for you. The EMS and the Hollywood Heart Novels starting with A Reclusive Heart and on are probably a better fit for you.

I’ve read a lot of your comments, some flattering and some that had me cringing. I appreciate both and have actually taken a lot of your comments to heart and applied the advice to my new books. That being said, I will say that I can’t unfortunately tailor each book to every single person out there. I just can’t. I’m sorry, but there is no perfect book out there that will please every single person. There’s nothing I can do about that. I’ll continue to do my best to publish enjoyable stories and hope that they manage to make someone smile.

Thanks for listening :)

Karla I think you're doing a great job R.L. Not every book is perfect for everyone. So many things factor into why we do or don't like a book. Sometimes it's just the mood you're in, you're mind is stuck in a different genre, and yes, some books are just plain bad. We're all different, and while most of us within our friends group seem to be on board with how we feel about a read, sometimes the one everyone loves, just isn't for you. Don't dwell on the comments, just use them as "food for thought". You must be doing something right, because from what I can see, you're books are pretty popular around here. :)

Thanks, Karla :) It's still a new situation for me and I felt that a few of the concerns should be addressed, like the Humble Heart issue. I don't want people buying the book with the expectations of another NFH book :)

Meagan I love ALL your books! I am actually very impressed with the way you are able to make each series so different from the next. They are all so unique and distinctly their own.
It's not often an author can create multiple series without them all beginning to sound the same. You should be proud of such a talent!
I do understand how a reader could feel a bit let down if they read the Pyte books and then went on the NFH books expecting the same thing. However a look at the books overview would quickly make it clear that these books are different. And personally, that's what I love about them : )

R.L. Mathewson Thank you very much, Megan :)

Kandyce Harris Don't change a thing. I repeat don't. You are doing a great job!
If someone doesn't like what you write, it is on them.

I like your style, if you change per each comment it won't be your true writing.

Do you, I love it.

Ian I've only read Perfection at this stage but was so impressed that I bought a bunch of your books for Kindle and will get to them all shortly.
I'm with Kandeelyn...don't change anything. It's been a long time since I've been so enthusiastic about a book.

Keri I wouldn't change a thing. I love your NFH series so much that I turned my mom on to them and she has read them 3 x each and then called me wanting to know when I was going to get her the next one. I just laugh and say mom she is writing as fast as she can. You are doing an awesome job, keep up the great work and don't sweat the things that you can't control.

Linda Well, I like your books, the two I've read so far. I like your writing very much and please don't change because of some bad comments. Keep up the good work! I have a lot of your books left to read and I can't wait to get started! =) Or maybe I should savour them instead? Because if I devour them I will be done, and I don't want that. So what you should do is just write and write and write, keep the books coming all the time. But wait, if you do that then maybe they won't be well thought out, only rushed.. I don't want that, either. Oh well, just do what you do now ;-)

M I came across your books on iBooks/top books and downloaded the sample of NFH #1 mostly because of the price on July 13th. I quickly realized by chapter 1 that I wanted the book. I fell in love with the caracters /family and found myself laughing out loud so after a few chapters I immediately bought all books available through iBook store. I just finished all your books today and absolutely love them. Of course there were some mistakes like missing words and double words but it did not bother me in the least. The only thing that I didn't like was that a lot of the books had nicknames for the caracters. I guess I got use to "my little grasshopper" from NFH series that I didn't like the other caracters using nicknames. other than that I look forward to any and all books you write - please hurry having withdrawal here lol.....
