June 2021 Update~

Dear Readers,

Lots of things going on behind the scenes lately. For those of you who haven’t heard, I did finally get a reply from my editor on the proposal package for Her Amish Blessing, and it was good news. A 2 book contract has been offered, which I have accepted. Needless to say, I was blown away. When I began my journey to become a Harlequin Love Inspired author, I never imagined I sell the first book, much less a couple more.

What is funny about Her Amish Blessing (title tentative), was that I wrote this book first and received a rewrite and resubmit from another Harlequin editor in late 2019, when I was with another agency. Unfortunately, I never could figure out how to fix the issues, and I set the project aside to write The Cowboy’s Amish Haven. Once that was done, I went back to Her Amish Blessing and gave it a few more tries. By then I had left the old agent and moved on to another, so it was basically back to square one for the book. However, the rewrites didn’t work and the idea didn’t go anywhere for many months. Pondering what to do with it, I gave the proposal one more rewrite and sent it in. I was truly staggered when my current agent called to say it had gotten an offer.

So…after almost 9 years of working at my own pace and not being under contract, I am again a writer with deadlines…which means I need to get to work!
