Am I a Pantser or Plotter?

Question: I was asked if I write by the seat of my pants (pantser) or if I plot out my books (plotter).

Answer: I guess the best answer is both. Sometimes I have a rough outline of the plot and chapters, but most of the time I sit in front of the computer and write the words as they come. I do plan out my characters carefully though – they are like friends by the time I finish a story.
