This is my mom. She once saved up enough money for an hour of studio time to record five songs. One take. I loved them and saved them on a cassette. For Mother’s Day a few years back I turned it into a CD. She’s too shy to let me release it, though I know you’d think the world of her. Instead, this year, I extended the poem I wrote for her (Guitar Repair Woman) to meet a word count guideline and submitted it to @vocal_creators. It just got posted there.
