Are You an UFO?

I’m not sure about all the talk with UFOs lately. Even though I don’t believe in the stereotypical UFO, I do believe there are things that make me scratch my head and say, “Hmm.”

There are many UFOs that are not space related. Anything you see that you are not exactly sure what it is in the sky is technically a UFO because it’s either flying or falling.

But are you an UFO?

Let me clarify.

Are you an Unusual Follower Object?

If you are a follower of Christ, do you blend in with the world? Or do you cause people to go, “Hmm?”

Someone gave me an example years ago that I use often. We are to be different. We are supposed to give off a beautiful aroma of sweetness, of fruit of the spirit.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

When you walk by you should cause people to look at you with intrigue. You should be different. You should cause them to want what you have. Not in material possessions. But because you have the freedom of Christ.

People should wonder at your joy.

People should long for your patience.

People should be in awe of your love.

If you look at the world and you don’t look any different than the next person, it’s time to make a change.

As Emmanuel, Cardinal Suhard says, “To be a witness does not consist in engaging in propaganda, nor even in stirring people up, but in being a living mystery. It means to live in such a way that one’s life would not make sense if God did not exist.”

So, are you a living mystery? Are you an UFO?

I think it’s time to become one.
