Across the Bar with Mary Quast

Welcome to my Beer Bar Mary! What can I pour you to start?I'm a bit spoiled on Michigan brews and willing to try something new. A little birdie told me about an orgasm in a glass she had here so how about one of those? (Thanks, Stephanie Beck!)NO problem. I'm guessing that is my bourbon barrel aged Oktoberfest...So, first and foremost: you are Maize and Blue? or Green and White?Green and White, when I was in college I used to zip over to State on Tuesdays to study with my cousin for a couple hours then hang with my best pal at the bar for a couple more. Good times...sigh. So that's out of the way....Tell us about your new 1NightStand book from Decadent.Handcuffs & Silk was my first "real" erotic romance and of course had to throw in my usual twist to the storyline. She's a tough Vegas cop and he's a New York Lawyer... yeah, sounds like a typical romance right? He's actually a sub and brings out the Dom in her during their one night stand. Then.... they reverse their roles! Oh....by the way.... the cover for Handcuffs & Silk features the delicious Jimmy Thomas was created by the talented Fiona Jayde. This sensual cover is featured in a Cover Contest over on You Gotta Read Reviews. Zip over there and vote for H&S. http://yougottaread.com/category/cover-contest/ I can let you in on a little secret.... I just submitted another story to DP for the 1Night Stand series. Shhh.... can't say much except he's a crow shape shifter , takes place in the Poconos, and there is a scene where they have sex while flying. We're looking at a summer release. I love writing for the 1 Night Stand series. 1 Night Stand (1NS) is the business name of an exclusive online dating service, owned by Frenchwoman Madame Evangeline. Aside from direct verbal contact with Jackson Castillo, owner of the resorts where most of the one-night stands take place, Madame Eve is never seen or heard (think Charlie from Charlie's Angels). Since this is a high-end, very expensive matching service, Madame Eve does an extensive background check on all of her clients before she matches them up (so it's safe). With this in mind, we can let our imaginations flow as writers. Yes, I've enjoyed writing for it too.And your journey to becoming a published author--was it smooth?I had issues with an agent in the beginning. She charged me and never submitted my work to the publishers she said she did. Luckily, when I contacted those publishers they were willing to still look at my work. I published three books with Vanilla Heart Publishing. Painted Soul, Tormented Soul, and Lonely Soul are no longer available in print or eBook. However, readers might see revised versions of them in a year or two back on the market. Going to writer's conferences is a great way to meet other writers, editors and publishers. This is a business where networking is very important. I have been very lucky to have met so many wonderful people who I now call friends. You are in an amazing blog group--romance writers behaving badly. How did that get started?I was looking to create a blog with a few other writers to share in promoting our works. After chatting with a few ladies from Romance Divas, we decided to start up the blog. The author lineup changes occasionally, but the core group is still there. We have a ton of fun and can get pretty naughty... thus the name "Romance Writers Behaving Badly".Oh look an empty glass---what can I pour you next?Give me another one of these. I'm feeling all warm inside. *wink, wink*Yeah, about that pig...oh never mind.

Thanks. http://yougottaread.com/category/cover-contest/
