Where do I sell my books?

I am occasionally asked where my books are sold. Here is a brief summary.⠀

Amazon is "the 800-lb gorilla" in publishing. In our experience, Amazon's KDP and Audible platforms are easy to use and reach a big portion of the readers. Amazon advertising is also easy (but expensive).⠀

Still, we recently switched my print books on Amazon to "Expanded Distribution," which reduces the royalty rate but allows other booksellers and libraries to purchase paperbacks from large distributors. It is nice to see my print books appearing locally. ⠀

My ebooks are listed exclusively with Amazon's KDP Select to remain available through Kindle Unlimited and Kindle Owners Lending Library (KOLL). My books are long and expensive in print form, and it is nice to offer them to my readers free through Kindle Unlimited and KOLL.⠀

My recently published audiobooks are not listed exclusively on Amazon's Audible (which sets high prices). Our preferred audiobook platform is Findaway Voices/Author's Direct. Author's Direct gives me a branded audiobook storefront and Findaway Voices provide access to every possible retailer with more flexible pricing and higher royalties. ⠀
