Free Writing Classes in my Discord now!
Inspired by the class I recently taught in a Kindle Vella discord, I decided to get something similar up and going in my discord server, ‘The Writer’s Block.’

You can join by clicking here!
Several writers and established authors (both indie and traditionally published) have offered to teach classes in their areas of expertise.
Some of the planned topics in the works are: author branding, the science fiction genre, and self-publishing erotica.
More to come on those later!
For now, there are two classes scheduled for this Friday. To attend, all you have to do is join the discord and show up in the voice channel at the right time. Participation is totally voluntary; people can come and watch or jump in with questions. There may even be a class activity if there’s time.
Just be aware that classes may be recorded. I know I plan to put my classes up on my youtube channel. Other instructors may choose to do the same.
But yeah, free classes. We have a cool little co-op of writers who all have their own little niche of expertise.
Without further ado, here are the classes on the roster for this Friday 5/14

Hybrid Writing: Getting the Best of Plotting and Pantsing
Taught by Jyvur Entropy
5/14 at 10-11 am EST
The Google Classroom has the powerpoint for those who want to follow along. Also a recording of the last live class, several supplementary materials and character map resources, and a place to submit questions ahead of time.

First Impressions: Starting Your Story
Taught by Nikita Nian
5/14 12-1pm EST
Psst! This is the guy to learn opening hooks from. His book Self starts with this line:

Nik writes horror and dark fantasy, but I’m sure a lot of his insights can be applied to any genre.
Okay! That’s it.
Gosh, look at how much I get done now that I don’t spend 30 hours a week obsessing over the manosphere.
It’s a way better use of my time giving back to the writing community
I hope to see a lot of you this Friday!
