An eyewitness account of the Battle of Mactan

My Inquirer column today summarizes the events leading to the 1521 Battle of Mactan from the account of Antonio Pigafetta, chronicler of the Magellan expedition, who was an eyewitness to history. He may have painted Magellan with a soft brush but I would take him over other, more fanciful, accounts that are best treated as folklore or "kwento ni Lola Basyang."
