Stilettos Can Be Murder
Have you ever wondered how someone walks in six inch heels? Obviously, very carefully! In my latest novel, Gretchen Malloy wears stilettos as though it's an art form. She's a fifty-ish elite event coordinator in Kansas City who literally walks over a dead groom on his wedding day and is framed for his murder. Although, my family's wedding and event flower business has many stories to tell, not one of us have ever tripped over a dead groom! Nor, have we ever worn heels like that when decorating or carrying boxes full of flowers. BUT, my mother did wear heels! She had the best legs. No, I was not blessed with those long beauties. I'm built for the long walk, and perhaps playing center on a football team. My main character is classy, over-the-top, and can be irritating. But, when in trouble, Gretchen doesn't swoon. She begins an investigation to save herself, her business, and her future. I'd like to be like Gretchen. I'd like to be her age and be free to be, well her. And I'd love to wear heels. At only five feet tall, just a few inches would make me happy. If you're looking for a quick, fun read, pick up Gretchen's story and discover why Stilettos Can Be Murder. Remember, there's nothing wrong with a good pairs of flats or sneakers!
