Getting the Last Word or Why I Reply to Every Comment

I have a few email only subscribers. Generally speaking, they aren't bloggers and follow me exclusively via email. A few of these dear people email me regularly. One in particular, takes me to task occasionally about how I reply to every email and comment and that I don't need to respond right away all the time. The reality is, yes, I do.
