COPS4RONPAUL

Writes Thomas Nash of Jews for Ron Paul:

In the wake of the Veterans for Ron Paul rally, I thought this story could offer further hope that our men and women in uniform are not all pawns for Big Government. About an hour ago, I was driving on 42nd street in NYC. I was looking for parking and knew I would only find it on a side street.

The problem is that most corners are marked "No turns. 7am-7pm". After having to drive several long city blocks out of my way, and being encouraged by the two cars in front of me which were doing the same, I decided to make an "illegal" turn. Sure enough all three cars, including mine, we're pulled over.

The COP approached my car:

Cop 1: do you know why we pulled you over?

Me: yes.

COP 1: why?

Me: I turned before 7.

COP 2: license, registration, and insurance please.

I handed the officer my license which they both examined while I looked for my insurance and registration. They stepped away, looked at my driver-side door, and started talking to each other. My door, along with my bumper, has a Ron Paul magnet on it.

They returned and I handed COP 2 my insurance paperwork. COP 1 seemed to smirk at my magnet.

COP 1 (looking at my door): what's this about?

Me: what do you mean?

COP 1: the sticker. What's it mean? What's it about?

Me: oh. I support Ron Paul.

COP 2: That's why you're not getting a ticket today.

Me: you guys are awesome. Thank you.

COP 1: I like when people have different opinions from what's out there.

Me: I agree

COP 2: this looks like the Ron Paul-mobile. It's the Ron Paul Patrol

And while tickets were being written for the other two drivers, I was waved away.

Yet another way in which supporting liberty has improved my life.
