The Greatest Compliment a Writer Can Receive

How does it feel to have someone say that you are one of their favorite authors? Truly amazing, that's how. Wow.

This is one of those things that really wanted to acknowledge. Over the last few days, I've had a couple people mention that I was one of their favorite authors and I wanted to find a way to simply express how incredibly much that means to me.

Writing with the intent of being a "writer" started for me in the second grade. I've been incredibly lucky over the last few years to have such great outlets for my writing (which sometimes seems more like creating graffiti with attitude) and I've been even more fortunate to connect with people from all over the world who have been eager to consume the content that I create.

But to have even one person tell me that I'm one of their favorite writers is an honor beyond measure for me. In the past, I've had one or two people mention it here and there and I never really knew how to respond other than with what may have seemed like a shy, "thanks" that really wasn't worthy of the amazing compliment paid to me. Now, I really want to acknowledge, without hesitation, how fantastic it feels to know that my work makes such an impact on even a handful of people. I'm truly grateful, deeply humbled and flattered beyond measure. And as long as you're willing to keep coming back to read my books, I will continue working as hard as I can to entertain you. That's my promise.
