Am writing and how!

I’m writing book 3 of Miri’s story and having so much fun! As much as I love Ash, looking back, I spent a lot of time overthinking every aspect of the story. I was so worried I’d disappoint my readers who loved Nava so much.

It was different with Nee, because I had zero expectations going into that series. I certainly didn’t expect it to take off like it did (though of course I hoped it would). Given the pipeline and how quickly I released the first three books, I was already writing book 4 by the time it sunk in that her story had connected with people.

For that reason, I felt a lot more freedom writing the demon hunter books than The Jezebel Files.

And now, here comes Miri. My friend said to me that I’d hit my sweet spot, with all the worldbuilding and mythology that I love to come up with, but starring an older character that I could pour more of myself and my experiences into. And she’s right.

Of course, part of it is also now having 1 urban fantasy novels under my belt and knowing what works for my storytelling and what doesn’t. All of this is my long-winded way of saying that I have no intention of wrapping up the Magic After Midlife series any time soon.
