A sequel cover this way comes

Just received the first draft of my next book cover and am excited.

For story reasons that readers of book 1 will know, I did not want to see the character's face and I think Peter at BespokeBookCovers has come up with a brilliant solution to that. My only major note is that the leopard now looks like a panther.

Thoughts welcome!

Gary Stringer Officially, 1st June, but ARC's will be available in May.

A_ bookbound _soul Great! Looking forward to reading it. It's going to be a trilogy, right?

Gary Stringer Haha! Nope. I just finished the first draft of Book 8. Pretty sure the next one's the finale! :)

A_ bookbound _soul Whoa! So it's gonna be a long series, huh? Awesome!

Gary Stringer Well, if you're interested, my original intention was a trilogy, but the page count for what would have been Book 1 was going to be around the 700 mark, and it was clear that Book 2 was going to be longer. I thought that was a bit much for indie publishing. Book 1 already had a part 1,2,3 structure, so I split them and reworked them into separate novels. So in my head, it became a kind of trilogy of trilogies. It didn't quite work out that way either, but unless Book 9 is way longer than I think, that will be the conclusion...

...Although I do have 1 or 2 ideas for possible spinoff stories in the future. :)

Gary Stringer Revised version - now the leopard looks like a leopard!

That's interesting. Book 1 did have a feeling of incompleteness at the end. Like, the story suddenly came to stop.

If you look at covers side by side, they look exactly the same but the leopard does look more like leopard in second one.

Kudos to the artist!

Gary Stringer Yeah, I was thinking he might have to replace the big cat image, but apparently not. The spots are more obvious in the larger versions.

Gary Stringer It's REAL! It exists and I'm excited for people to read the continuing adventures of Catriona and friends, as narrated by her immortal daughter from the future.

A_ bookbound _soul So exciting!!
