Sidelined by Sick & Stupid

If anyone has noticed or is wondering: hey, where's Mia lately? The first half of the answer is simple. I've had a nasty head cold for the past several days. Aside from doing what's necessary to care for my son, I've been pretty much useless otherwise, held up on the couch reading (catching up on the past several Xanth novels) and/or watching Star Trek. (Voyager, if anyone's curious.)

So, I'm finally feeling better and then what I can only – by best information possible – guess was a screwed up Windows update, my laptop is borked. I'm going to have to take some drastic measures to fix it. Right now, I'm backing up some over-due backups for when I do this.

I'm working off an old laptop I have. It's older, slower, tends to heat more and has a screwed up keyboard but it works, so here I am.

This means, however, that my writing, social media, emails, blogging, character interviews and reading that requires thought is way… way… behind. I apologize. Hope to fix this mess of a computer situation and be back on top of things soon!
