A GOOD MARRIAGE publishes in Poland tomorrow! 🇵🇱 Thank you, thank you @wydawnictwobukowylas! (And yes, that is me on the cover in my very best pandemic-wear. I resisted at first, but they were relentless.)

I’ve only ever been to Poland once, to the gorgeous Krakow many (many) years ago. It was the year I lived in London, furiously writing the first (of four) never to be published books. (RECONSTRUCTING AMELIA was lucky number five). I was desperate to finish, convinced that if I sold a book I wouldn’t have to go back and be a lawyer anymore. If you look closely in the pictures (past the unfortunate leather jacket) you can see that mix of hope and terror in my eyes. Spoiler: it took me another decade of writing book after rejected book to sell my first. Don’t give up folks—not yet, not ever.
