A Vivacious Interview with Kennedy Carter

A friend of mine brought my attention to the firestorm that is Kennedy Carter. I think it was his accent that I adored first, but after following him on twitter, I find his personality to be incredibly engaging. Always surprising and entertaining, he find the humor in every situation and has an energy that I admire.

You've moved your education from the UK to Mexico – what prompted you to make such a move? What are you studying?

My degree from my university in London is in Hispanic Studies – we are obligated to spend the third year of the course at a university in a Spanish speaking country, and I chose Mexico City. For this year I can take whatever classes I like, as long as they are in Spanish, so I'm doing classes in photography and digital editing and a lot of stuff I'm passionate about outside of my degree.

 

You've been flying from the UK, Mexico, New York, and all of the other places you have to go for your career – does that kind of traveling take a toll on you?

I hate flying, I think it's the most boring, claustrophobic experience on the planet. I hate airports, I hate airplanes. But most kids at university don't get the opportunity to live in a country with a totally different culture for a year, or get to travel all over the US all the time and make friends from coast to coast with their job, so I'm always just very grateful for the experience.

 

You seem to be pretty good friends with fellow model Chris Porter – how did you meet? What drew you to his friendship?

We actually met on set, when we filmed Don't Ask, Just Fuck for Raging Stallion. We have a similar taste in music and the same sense of humor, I think you can see both of those things in the videos of us that are on YouTube!

 

@British_Poodle from twitter would like to know why you keep breaking all of your iPhones?

Because I'm a hot mess. I honestly never broke a cellphone in my life and then I move to iPhones and I have gone through 7 in two years. They have overheated by the pool, had dumbbells dropped on them (twice), been dropped on a grime-covered toilet floor in a club in Mexico…I am, truthfully, typing this interview from the Apple Store in NYC waiting for my latest to be set up for me!

 

@egoistetx would like to know – What lineage caused to you come by those asiatic eyes.

My parents are both white, but in photos of my brother and I when we were babies we looked like Chinese kids. A ginger Chinese kid with the body of a dwarf opera singer is quite a sight, let me tell you.

Jay Perry (via JPBarnaby.com) would like to know – Kennedy In your experience Do you have any do's and don'ts of porn for the people that want to become part of the adult film's industry??? Do you plan on visiting Australia anytime haha Your awesome Kennedy!

I would love to visit Australia, although I'm not sure if there is a SPF high enough for that yet! I would say the major do is be honest with the people in your life, if it really would kill them for you to do this, don't do it.

I am obsessed with the taco store next to my house in Mexico City and I want to turn it into an NYC chain!

 

Tell me about the matching tattoos you and Erwin have – how did that come about?

They are an anchor and a ship's steering wheel – one a symbol of direction, of being in control of your destiny, and one a symbol of steadfastness and strength. We have them on our knuckles but on opposite hands, so when we hold hands we have the two wheels or the two anchors together.

 

Is your family aware of your modeling career and if so, are they supportive?

Yeah my family knew from day one, which is very lucky to have. My family just see that I'm getting to travel and to see the world and work with great friends so they are all really supportive.

 

Do you have an exit strategy for your modeling career? What are your plans once you decide to retire?

I am obsessed with photography and would love to work in fashion photography but I love my studies too and I would be very happy with an academic career just doing research and writing in some little office somewhere.

What led you to try your…er…hand at adult entertainment? Was it different than you expected? Were you nervous for your first scene?

No I actually really loved it! It always felt very easy. I got into it as a way to pay for school!

 

How often do you film?

Who was your first crush?

Recently, you shot a scene with your boyfriend for Cockyboys – how did that come about? How did the shoot go?

It went great. We were left on our own to film it so it felt very real and natural, and it has been getting a really awesome reaction from fans.

What's your favorite city to travel to? Where have you not traveled that you would like to visit?

NYC, London and Mexico City definitely all feel like home, but I think NYC is my favorite. For holidays I miss when I used to go to Barcelona a lot, that's a beautiful place.

Play on photoshop, watch TV and of course listen to music.

Dinner, dancing, watching the sun come up on some beach with friends somewhere.
