Why You Shouldn't Refer to Women As "Females"

I know a guy who is always referring to women as "females." And for some reason it always just made me feel uneasy. He doesn't do it in a negative way and it's not a pejorative for him. But it still sounds wrong to me. And I would never do it. So I did a simple search about referring to women as "females," and I came up with a few things. Apparently, I'm not the only one who isn't thrilled with it. There is a list of reasons why you shouldn't do it.
