Day 2,675: Don’t Normalize

When an artist—even a particularly talented one—turns out to be a monster of a person, someone who victimizes others, assualts them, abuses them…it doesn’t matter any more what they’ve contributed artistically. It doesn’t matter, because all that art was bullshit, a cover for them to hide behind and to enable them to perpetrate their crimes by duping us, all of us, into giving them the power to perpetrate their crimes by appreciating their art. They lied to us.
