Welcome back for another edition of Six Sentence Sunday! Thanks in advance for your comments and encouragement. I look forward to visiting your blogs as well.
Today's snippet comes from ONCE AGAIN, my YA paranormal which is NOW AVAILABLE (happy dance!) for download at
Amazon,
B&N, and
Smashwords. When we left off last week, Layla had encountered some not-so-nice guys in the parking lot after her first day of school. Lucas intervened and has her all confused about his motivations. The following six lines come from the conversation that immediately follows.
"Lucas Ellis, by the way." He extended his hand. "I realizedI didn't tell you my last name in lit class this morning." "Layla Bradford." I put my hand in his, awed by the welcomingfeeling that enveloped not only my fingers and palm, but my entire body. Thetouch of his skin on mine sent excitement coursing through me, and a random thoughtwent through my mind – hadn't I known itwould be this way? - though I knew it was impossible.
