50% again, but with some insight:

To begin with, I've been reading more horror/ lore manga to get out of my comfort zone. Not really in the the Gore porn, but super into various deity trying to exist in a more modern world.

I was heavily sheltered from anything non-Christian. I'm not clear on their thought process; For some reason, Lord of the Rings was cool but not Harry Potter. Star Wars and Star Trek were fine, because space magic... isn't... real. And children soldiers are fine... so long as they believe in the force. (Obviously, not my thoughts.)

Holy Hannah, how am I a functional human? Anyway, that is why various lore fascinates me. There is so much to learn about human behavior and how they saw the world from their limited scope & knowledge, through the study of the Gods and heroes they create & worship. How they choose to explain certain events & natural tragedies. Kind of gives me hope, because storytelling will continue to be a very strong reminder of who we were. It shapes so much more than I realized when I was younger.

L.L. Tibbetts A few years later, and this still holds true. I've read sooooo many new horror manga and then some. (Feel free to check my read list if your interested in any listed here)

Hell's Paradise was a trip. D. Grey Man, No Guns Life & Chainsaw Man were also pretty good. Twin Star Onmoyoji! My heart... All so f*cking good.
Finished reading Demon Slayer, Deadman's Wonderland and Moriarty the Patriot (not a horror series, but a good read). Highly recommend all the above.
