Get Hungry.

As a young child I would hear stories of revival that would bring many to Christ and would last for weeks. Churches would come together, regardless of denomination, for the single purpose of serving and praising God. To be honest I used to think that it would be horrible to set in church day after day. That was then, now things have changed. I found a hunger.
A few years ago I had the honor of preaching at a youth revival. During the short revival I was blessed with seeing young adults and teenagers give their lives to the lord. After revival I found myself remembering the stories from my father. I began to get a hunger for a revival that God would revive the hunger deep inside the Christians of America and bring the church alive.
We read of the woman of blood. She was so determined for a cure that she pushed through the crowd just to touch Christ's garment. She was instantly healed. Saul changed his name to Paul after the road to Damascus and he developed a hunger to work for Christ. We read of how he was persecuted, beaten, and thrown in prison for the work he did. It never stopped him from the hunger that made him want to do nothing more than serve and follow Christ.
I pray that God sets a hunger in us as Christians' hearts to do his work. A hunger to read the word. A hunger for a closer walk with Christ. I hunger to see those great revivals breaking out across our land. Most of all I hunger to see people coming to Christ and for the family of God to grow.
