Introduction to Everything I Need

My first post on Goodreads!
As a baby author, everything seems crazy at first! trying to get a grasp on everything you need to do, but battling the need for just wanting to write! I once had an author tell me that writing was easy, it was everything else that was hard. I didn't believe her at first, but boy do I now! But I love it, and I wouldn't change it for anything!
Well, now that we have that out of the way, I will leave you with a sneak peek of... Everything I Need by K.B. Barrett!

She watched as his eyes did a quick scan of the room, sneering at the mattress on the floor before coming back to her. She took an involuntary step back at the anger directed at her. His eyes narrowed to slits.
Don’t piss him off, she thought to herself, as she edged back placing the door in front of her even more. When more men filed in behind him, one reached out grabbing the door and yanked it out of her hands, slamming it shut.
Her eyes widened as she did a sweep of all of them. She didn’t like where this was heading. She felt cornered, her eyes quickly darting to each man, trying to get a read on the situation.
“Eyes on me!” Dominic barked out at her. She jerked her eyes back to him, afraid to defy him. This situation was quickly turning out to be a nightmare.
“This is where you live?” His tone dripping with disdain, and she fought the urge to get mad.
She knew that it wasn’t the best place, but it was a roof over her head and it was all hers. And she took good care of it too. It was clean and always smelled good. It didn’t matter that some of the windows were cracked or the few kitchen cabinets were hanging sideways. She was trying, darn it! She twisted her hands together to keep them from shaking as she nodded, while he seemed to do more of an assessment around the room as if looking for something.
Then suddenly, as if coming to a conclusion, he nodded once. He seemed to settle a little with whatever his decision was, his shoulders dropping slightly, and his face lost some of the terrifying anger that it held.
“You're coming with me,” he said as he reached forward, grabbing her arm and pulled her behind him.
“Gather anything that's personal, leave the rest,” he muttered to the men beside him as he walked by them, dragging her.
“Yes sir,” one man said back. He was tall and with blond hair, and reminded her of a bulky version of Thor.
When he started to drag her out of the room she finally came to her senses, the situation that she was in slamming into her and waking her brain up. Frantically pulling at her arm, trying to stop him, she started pleading.
“Listen, I'm sorry but I can’t go with you I don’t know you and…” She rushed the words out while still pulling unsuccessfully at her arm in his grasp.
His sudden stop and turn towards her, had her slamming into him. She would have apologized but It didn’t seem to bother him. As he used the momentum to back her up against the wall in the hallway, one arm coming up to lean against the building by her head.
His body was flush against her. His hand holding her wrist tightly against his chest, trapping it between them. She felt her breath stutter as his face dipped down, coming in closer, and she felt her eyes go big.
Oh my gosh.
“I will explain everything later. Right now, you need to know three things. One, you are coming with me. Two, I take care of everything that is mine. And three…” He paused as his eyes skimming over her face. “You are mine.”
With that, he proceeded to drag her out the lobby Everything I Need by K.B. Barrett
