This Masaba shirt dress is one of the first designer pieces I ever owned so you can understand how I was super reluctant to part with it even though it doesn't fit me any longer. (Shirt dresses are my bête noire, they never last me more than one or two years, the buttons already straining almost as soon as I buy them.) But then I thought, "You know this would be cool as one of those cloth jacket slip dress combos" and I was OFF, rummaging through my cupboard for this Athleta black dress (off the streets of East Delhi, lycra with panels). This is why I love dressing up, so many creative choices! This is why I love spring! Teamed with a necklace my mum bought me from Chile and my trusty boots which I had made (!) from a cobbler in Nizamuddin West market who charged me 2500 for them nine years ago and they've never had a single crack or tear or broken zipper or loose sole despite me using them HARD over the last decade. Don't you love when things you love last and last? #whatiworetoday
