John M. Taylor was raised in the East of England. He claims he spent more time at school daydreaming great adventures than studying, then at college he qualified as a design draughtsman. He has lived in Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Australia. John has been married to Elisabeth for 46 years, they had a son who they lost to a brain tumor.
