As for Connor's story — I'll cross my fingers for that. I hope you all believe it was worth the wait when you turn that last page. :-)

I can't remember the last time I was this sick. I'm afraid if I cough one more time, my head will pop off. I can't get out of bed. :-p
Of course, being stuck in bed is more interesting than it used to be, thanks to the Interwebs.

My favorite scene, was the the rescue with all the guys...riveting, and then when everyone looked at Joaquin's photos! HA, that was one big scene, maybe I should just say I loved the whole book!!

My younger son, Benjy, who is 22 and just graduated from college, has been taking care of me. Thank goodness he's home!
That's definitely a very popular scene. Readers almost always mention it when they talk about the book. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I actually slept most of last night, so that's a vast improvement. The doc put me on both steroids and antibiotics, and they seem to be working! Thank goodness!

Since I usually only read historicals this was my first I-Team. Within a month, I had burned through all the others. I enjoyed all of them but "Breaking Point" remains my favorite.
I recently reread the MacKinnon books and now I am eagerly awaiting July 3 when Defiant will be "auto-delivered wirelessly to (my) Kindle".

I wrote half this book a month after having two vertebrae removed from my neck and replaced with implants. Prior to the surgery, I was so worried that I just wouldn't get the book done. And then afterward, when I was still home recovering, I had two months to finish it. For me, it felt like a miracle that I was able to get it done.
To know that so many readers enjoyed it makes me so grateful and happy.

Keep writing such great books. And no worries I don't believe there will ever be a day when your books don't amaze your readers. Your the best, and thank you for making my day so enjoyable by simply being able to read your books. Cant wait to read more of them.

The problem with whooping cough is that a person is usually past the place where it can be tested for in a lab and the disease has moved on into other lovely things like pneumonia before anyone asks the question "Could this be whooping cough?"
There is currently a resurgence of whooping cough in the US in people over 45. We all had the vaccination as kids and nobody has thought about it since. But now many doctors especially here along the border are recommending a booster shot.
Sorry to be one of those "helpful" medical advice people but at least I may be informing folks to get a booster. Whooping Cough is a miserable way to spend the six months to a year to totally recover and it is totally preventable with the booster.

PS: Whooping cough does have a very particular sound to the cough but most doctors today have never heard it so it goes unrecognized. I diagnosed my husbands problem (later confirmed by his pulmonary specialist) by listening to the recordings posted by this doctor in the U.K.
