Me vs MeA battle of the internal, face to face with myself...

Me vs Me

A battle of the internal,
face to face with myself,
A splitting image?

What is the different between me and me?
The ego speaks,
clouding the thoughts of his instinct,
blinding him from what is and what could be beyond.

It’s me vs me,
A prisoner to my own self,
An existence paradox.
What does that even mean?

A warden to my own mind,
watching over my thoughts, holding the key;
Locked away deep.

A prisoner of the internal war, in comfort and solitary confinement,
Who goes free? Who gets executed?
Life in solitude
“You are stuck here”
You will never be free, not from yourself

A battle rages,
bringing internal anguish.
When will I be free?

It’s me vs me.

Nobody can bring you peace but yourself.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
