Interview With Alien Slave's Imdiko Krijero

With less than a week to go before the release of Alien Slave, I decided we needed to hear from our newest clan's Imdiko.
Q: Hi Krijero. Did you just get out of bed?
A: No. Wait … did I forget to comb my hair again?
Q: Your shirt's a little wrinkled and it doesn't look like you shaved.
A: Sorry. I have a tendency to wake up with a million things on my mind that I can't wait to get to. I forget to make myself presentable.
Q: Oh, you're presentable. You're handsome enough that you can get away with it. Scruffy looks good on you.
A: Oh, um, thanks. That's nice of you to say.
Q: So tell us a little about yourself. I understand you're in law enforcement?
A: Right. I'm a criminal psychologist.
Q: So you try to make the bad guys good again?
A: Actually, when a crime is committed and we don't have a solid suspect, I'm the one who examines the details to determine what kind of personality is behind the wrongdoing. I draw up psychological profiles to narrow the list of suspects down.
Q: That sounds pretty interesting.
A: It is. I love my work.
Q: Your clanmates are also in law enforcement. Is that where you met them?
A: I worked with them for several years before we really became aware of each other as potential clanmates. In fact, Gelan and Wynhod were clanned five years before they asked me to join them. Was that ever a shock.
Q: Really? Why were you shocked they wanted you in their clan?
A: Well, they're really smart, capable men.
Q: And you're not?
A: Professionally, I'm good at what I do. I guess their interest took me off guard because I have a terrible habit of tripping over my own feet and I don't do well in social situations. I'm awful at small talk. I don't know; I just never imagined they'd want to clan someone like me.
Q: You seem like a perfectly good Imdiko.
A: I guess. I must be; after all they spent three years trying to convince me I belonged with them.
Q: Three years? That seems like a long time.
A: You would think they'd have given up. I'm glad they didn't. They are very good friends.
Q: I spoke to Gelan a couple weeks back, and he said your clan has no intention of vying for a Matara. Are you on board with that?
A: Absolutely. We're perfectly fine without jumping through those hoops. I'm glad Gelan and Wynhod agreed we wouldn't bother with that nonsense.
Q: It seems to me you would have a lot to offer a lucky lady.
A: It's not worth the trouble. Impressing would-be clanmates is really hard, and rejection is just awful. I'd rather not put myself out for that.
Q: I understand you're about to take a vacation on Dantovon. The ladies there aren't known for rejection.
A: There's nothing wrong with renting a lovely companion for a few hours, so long as she's willing. I'm looking forward to that!
Q: Down, boy. Save it for next week.
A: Sorry, sorry. We've been planning this trip for a long time, so I'm a little excited.
Q: A little? Not from the looks of things. Anyway, thanks for the interview, Krijero. Have a great vacation.
A: I'm sure I will.
