From the Vault of the Strange – Mingwa Production Art

The Mingwa. The most fierce creature in the Collector's arsenal. Released on our heroes in Strange Forces 1, the giant cat-like monster lunges for the kids as they escape on an old railway car.

This was a piece of production art we developed first as a visualization aid, then as a piece of eye candy for shows, signings and the like. We were inspired by production illustrations for films like those of Ralph McQuarrie, and decided to develop some of our own. This scene was picked because of its kinetic action and the ferociousness of the Mingwa.
