Now reporting from San Francisco!! :D

Shortly after getting back from Chicago, our search began for a house to rent with a couple friends in San Francisco (I was previously in the east bay, if I hadn't mentioned that). It pretty much consumed ALL of me and the hubby's time! It was insane - looking at 3-4 places a day all over the city! Both our friends have cars and needed parking, but *we* needed good public trans and a prime location near everything - two things which just do not mix! We'd almost given up until we finally found a place that seemed to meld all our needs! It's going to be a bit of a tight squeeze with 4 people (right now you can't even *walk* into our bedroom there are so many boxes!), but we have a huge backyard and the owner is super cool! He lives right next door and is willing to make some renovations we want to make. :) Including a shed out back for the hubby to make into a sort of make-shift little music studio! The landlord's also Irish and totally reminds me of my father's family! So all in all I think we got a good place! Whew!

And once that was taken care of, we were able to finally make our plans to visit some friends in Europe this fall! Two very good friends got married last year and we couldn't make it to the wedding, so we promised to come this year! It looked for a while like it wasn't going to happen, but we found a good deal to London (although with a long ass layover, oh well!) so thank goodness we'll make it! After all the craziness this entire past year, it will just be so good to get away and see friends! We aren't even really going to sight-see, it's more about just reuniting with everyone. :)

Now if we can just manage to actually unpack everything before then! haha.
