Navigating Academic Publishing for BIPOC Scholars | Publishing Humanities Initiative

​'Duke University Press Editorial Director Gisela Fosado and Senior Executive Editor Ken Wissoker share a discussion especially for #BIPOC scholars (graduate students, faculty and postdocs) in the humanities and social sciences. Fosado and Wissoker talked publishing with a university press, approaching acquisition editors, and successfully navigating peer review and other key parts of the publication process. Open discussion with attendees about the unique experiences of BIPOC scholars in academic publishing also took place. While this event is focused on the experiences of BIPOC scholars, anyone interested in academic publishing can learn from the collective wisdom presented in this panel.
