This review is a joint effort between Will Peach (writer and researcher for eBiz Facts) and Niall Doherty (founder of eBiz Facts).

Our process:

The eBiz Facts team had previously spent 100+ hours researching and reviewing online survey sites.
Niall and Will spent a combined 5+ hours researching and testing QuickThoughts.
Niall contacted QuickThoughts support to test out their responsiveness.
Will wrote up his findings and Niall combined those with his own to create a first draft of this review.
We sent the draft to our Freedom Business Builder community and the folks at QuickThoughts and asked for feedback.
We made our final edits and published the review.

How does QuickThoughts work?

Download the Quick Thoughts app and it will send you notifications on available surveys. Turning on the GPS of your phone or tablet will scan for location-based options. Sometimes these might be local business or restaurant reviews.

You complete the surveys inside the app after answering a few pre-qualifying questions. Some surveys require Flash for playing video.

QuickThoughts rewards are earned immediately on a survey completion. A balance will show on your dashboard.

Is QuickThoughts legit or a scam?

QuickThoughts is definitely legit. The platform is owned by Dynata LLC, a market research company operating out of Texas, US. Dynata LLC also owns other legit survey sites, such as:

Dynata LLC has a similar rating. It scores 1.62 on Better Business Bureau…

Despite these ratings, QuickThoughts has a good reputation among its users. Many report it being one of the better paying survey sites around.

How much does QuickThoughts pay?

QuickThoughts can pay you from $5 to $10 per hour. The platform states that single surveys can pay anything up to $3, while local activities can pay up to $5. Most users report earning an average of $1 per survey.

Quinn ThompsonOnline Survey Taker at QuickThoughts $5 – $10 per hour

Quinn Thompson represents a typical person doing online research studies at QuickThoughts. As you can see, the earnings are fairly low, but this is typical for survey sites.

Many claim to be able to make $10 per hour using the app which this is mainly down to receiving faster surveys (about 5-10 minutes).

Users are also only able to complete a maximum of 5 surveys each day, which greatly limits the amount of money you can make.

According to several Reddit users payouts are dependent on location and demographics. US users, for example, claim better earnings than Canadians.

There are many reports of random account suspensions using the app. However, these are said to be resolved within a couple of days by support. (You can contact support within the app.)

Random disqualifications after completing surveys is another complaint. You do get $0.10 as a “consolation prize” for not qualifying though…
