Great question. The real answer is it's subjective and specific to each individual. I think you have to base it on a venture/task.
Gauge how much you honestly believe in yourself, what structure you have in place and how you're measuring success. Give yourself honest feedback, but also get the feedback of others.
So many people give up because they haven't seen results yet. If you believe in what you're doing and have a plan for the long haul, keep going. Results don't have to come right away. You have to define success and set smaller goals. Keep learning and growing. I go a lot on intuition. If something feels right and I know I feel fulfilled and successful for myself, I'm going to keep going and figure out other ways to get results.
