Web Design Best Practices Checklist

Building a website for success involves many interconnected skills. Today, I want to share my web design best practices checklist that goes through the most important ones you’ll need to improve your process as a web designer.

To become successful, you must focus on a chosen few that are best suited for your personality. Then figure out ways to either outsource the rest, learn over time at a pace you can handle, or find clever methods to save time by building on other people’s work.

My area of focus started with code (HTML/CSS/jQuery) for building websites.

Then I expanded into WordPress when I launched my first blog. I tried building themes from scratch, and the process was long and tedious.

I learned A TON about how WordPress works with the PHP theme files. But the result didn’t look nearly as nice as a premium theme that I could buy for $50 and set up in 1 hour.
