Enlightment

Last year when I self-published my first novel for my friends and family I searched and searched for an image for the cover. After finding it on Flickr, I contacted the owner and asked permission. His only stipulation was that he received credit for the photo. The process took less than two days and cost me no money.

Fast forward a year and here I am in a similar mess. I recently learned that my former publishing company had used pictures without permission. I was naive enough to believe it hadn't happened to me. Until today.

I googled "Boston skyline with moon" and on the first page of images what do I find? That's right folks! I find the cover of my book, a much better picture as the resolution is amazing.

I have contacted the owner of the picture in hopes to alert him to the issue. Please know I was not aware of the theft and am doing everything in my power to ensure the rightful owner of the image is made aware.

Please be on the lookout for my full-length novel to be released later this spring, under a new name with a cover I will have the rights to.
