Samhain Greetings
Dear Friends:
I tried to send out Sabbat greetings as I've been doing foryears using my Telus e mail account, but for the last two months it hasn'tallowed me to do this. I keep getting messages telling me "too many recipientsper hour." After working fine for years, now Telus tech support is telling methat even though nothing has changed in their system, I can now only send mailto 10 people at a time.
We've been very busy upgrading things in the Motherhouse forenvironmental efficiency. A new furnace is being installed tomorrow, we've putin new low flow toilets, new energy efficient fans, and have upgradedinsulation in several areas.
I had a fabulous time at the Sacred Well Congregation'sconvention in San Antonio, Texas, on the weekend of October 13 – 16 teachingclasses and conducting an Armoring ritual. I also gave a class and conducted anArmoring ritual for over 300 young men and women in basic training for the USAFat Lackland Air Force Base. As a result of this weekend I've agreed to help theSacred Well Congregation sponsor a Preceptory of the Order of Scathach in thatarea, so if any of you are in that area and would like to be part of it, pleaselet me know. In the coming year I'll be attending the followinggatherings to teach:
· Heartland Pagan Festival in May 2012.
· Southern Delta Church of Wicca event 10 – 13 May2012 in Shelby Park, Millington, Tenessee.

I've just released a new book of self empowerment: How To Be Glorious: Day By Day Empowerment . This book is thenext step in the the cycle begun with my earlier Llewellyn books on Warriorphilosophy, Wiccan Warrior, Full Contact Magick, Magickal Self Defense, and Modern Knighthood. The tremendousinterest in the daily affirmations that I post on Twitter, Facebook, Google+,got me thinking about a book for the general public on self empowerment andpersonal power and How to be Gloriousis the result. It's about taking charge of your life instead of letting yourlife take charge of you. It's available as an e book from Smashwords and willbe available very soon as a print on demand book from Amazon.com.
My new book Modern Knighthood: Unleashing Your Inner Power to Master Yourself andthe World has been out on Smashwords.com since December as an e book,but now it is out as a print on demand book at Amazon.com.
The other book, which is published under my mundane name,Charles Ennis, is AncientRecipes for Modern Kitchens. This is a collection of ancient recipesadapted for the modern kitchen, organized into the 8 Sabbat seasons andpresented with a brief description of their history. The oldest recipe in thereis over 6,000 years old. If you're looking for recipes for your Esbat orSabbat, this is the book for you. This is a Smashwords e book.
The Order of Scathách will be conducting the service for theSouth Fraser Unitarian Congregation, 13775 70th Ave, Surrey, BC(just beside the Newton Library), on November 6, 2011, at 10:30 AM. Check itout at www.surreyunitarians.ca. Ihope that we'll see some of you next weekend for this service.
Just a reminder to anyone interested in studying with us inthe Order of Scáthach: We've changed our mentoring system so people who want tostudy with us can check out our mentors on line at our training blog and chooseone to work with. We're also doing Skype conference calls twice monthly for ouron line students to improve their learning experience: I'll be hosting onesession and Lady Devenir will be hosting the other. Of course, if you're livinghere in British Columbia or in one of the other locations that we havepreceptories, you can train with us face to face. The Preceptories in the LowerMainland include:
· Surrey Motherhouse
· Tri Cities Preceptory
· Bifrost Preceptory
We've been taping lessons to put on the training blog andthis led us to create our own YouTube channel.
