Why Do You Write?

A friend asked me this recently and I've been mulling on my thoughts....

I write because it is an expression of myself
I write because I can't sing or paint or sew or play sports...it's really all can do
I write with a secret hope someone will read and know more about who I really am
I write because it feels good


What about you?  Why do you write (or do whatever your passion may be)?
