The Edict changes the lives of those gifted with magic. Three teens, once close friends, each have a mission to complete. Can they do what’s right or is magic gone forever?
Cerra, Paul, and Jillian connect through telecommunication, until the night everything changes for Gifted. They are no longer happy children looking forward to a wonderful future. Cerra is on the run to avoid arrest and imprisonment. Paul flees to Haven, a magical enclave, where he is taught to become an infiltrator and put his own freedom on the line by fighting the enemy from within. Jillian remains behind and becomes a Hunter—those seeking to capture and imprison all Gifted.
Will this trio reunite and fight against those determined to destroy magic?

Paul Eberham stared out his bedroom window into darkness blanketed the North Georgia mountains. He shuddered when he felt surges of anger and fear through his magic.
It will happen tonight. I have to warn Jillian and Cerra. They need to hide.
The Edict, a law banning those possessing incredible powers from using them or attending school, driving a car, even having the rights of normal citizenship was going into effect. Even though he was a mere eight years of age, Paul was well aware of the damage this could cause humanity.
Jilly. Cerra-girl, can you hear me?
About K.C. Sprayberry
Living a dream she’s had since she first discovered the magic of books, former California native, K.C. Sprayberry traveled the U.S. and Europe before finally settling in the mountains of Northwest Georgia. She’s been married to her soulmate for nearly a quarter of a century and they enjoy spoiling their grandchildren along with many other activities.
A multi-genre author, K.C. Sprayberry is always on the hunt for new stories. Inspiration strikes at the weirdest times and drives her to grab notebook and pen to jot down her ideas. Those close to her swear nothing or no one is safe if she’s smiling gently in a corner and watching those in the same room interact. Her observations have often given her ideas for her next story, set not only in the South but wherever the characters demand they settle.
